Scope
These Academy Terms of Use ("Academy Terms") govern access to the Barber Collectives Academy, including courses, lessons, videos, quizzes, knowledge checks, downloadable resources, templates, and related materials (collectively, "Academy Materials"). They supplement the Terms of Service.
Enrollment and Access
Access to Academy Materials may be free, included with a program (such as the Business Partner Program), or purchased. Access is personal to you, non-transferable, and may be limited in time, scope, or seat count.
License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Academy Terms and payment of any applicable fees, Barber Collectives grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access Academy Materials for your personal learning and the operation of your own barbering business.
What You May Do
- Watch and re-watch lessons within your enrollment period.
- Download resources where a download is expressly offered, for your own use.
- Complete quizzes and knowledge checks.
- Apply techniques and templates inside your own business.
What You May Not Do
- Redistribute, share, post publicly, or upload Academy Materials to any other platform.
- Resell, sublicense, or grant access to Academy Materials, including via screen-sharing for unauthorized viewers.
- Reproduce, paraphrase, or republish quizzes, knowledge checks, or assessment answers.
- Use Academy Materials to create a competing course, training program, or curriculum, whether free or paid.
- Train AI or machine-learning systems on Academy Materials.
Ownership
Academy Materials, including lesson scripts, video, audio, slides, templates, quizzes, and assessment design, are owned by Barber Collectives or its licensors. Completion of a course does not transfer ownership.
Certificates and Completion
Where a certificate or completion record is issued, it reflects your activity in the Academy and is not a professional license. You remain responsible for any licensure, insurance, and regulatory compliance required to operate as a barber in your jurisdiction.
Updates
Academy Materials may be updated, replaced, or retired over time. We will use reasonable efforts to preserve continuity for in-progress students.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate Academy access for violations of these Academy Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or the Terms of Service. Materials must not be retained or used after access is terminated.
Changes
We may update these Academy Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new version and effective date in the Legal Center.
